About the Item

This vibrant and evocative artwork "My sweet summer Provence " presents a picturesque seaside landscape, painted with bold strokes and a vivid color palette that instantly captivates the viewer. The foreground showcases a lush, verdant garden brimming with blooming flowers in shades of red, pink, and white, their petals rendered in thick, dynamic brushstrokes that convey a sense of movement and life. Above the garden, a sturdy tree with a broad, arcing branch frames the scene, its foliage a rich, lively green dotted with hints of sunlight. Beyond the garden, charming rooftops painted in warm terracotta tones peek out amidst dense clusters of trees and shrubs, suggesting a quaint, coastal village nestled harmoniously within the natural surroundings. The middle ground unfolds into a serene, expansive blue sea, its surface depicted with expressive dashes of white and blue that capture the play of light on the water and the gentle movements of the waves. The sky above is a brilliant expanse of cerulean, interspersed with wisps of white clouds that evoke a light, breezy day. The artist's technique combines elements of impressionism with a vibrant, almost fauvist use of color, where each hue seems to pulsate with an inner energy, drawing the eye across the canvas and creating a palpable sense of place. This painting's unique character lies in its masterful blend of impressionistic sensibilities with a bolder, more expressive use of color. The result is a work that feels both timeless and vividly present, offering viewers a window into a world that is at once idyllic and teeming with life. The painting is done with watercolor and acrylic paints on a professional paper. The pictures of the art piece framed in the interior are for your inspiration. This is a unique, one of a kind original painting. It is signed on the front and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The painting will be carefully packed in cardboard box with layers of bubble wrap and sent out to you as soon as possible. Please understand colors may vary slightly between the actual painting and the image on your screen due to my digital camera's results and your monitor.

Irina Belotelkin Roublon, née Roudakoff, was born in Elisavetgrad, Ukraine to the Russian noblesse ancienne, descendant of Catherine the Great, she was a student at the Mariinsky Noble Ladies' Institute , Novocherkassk, Russia. She was orphaned at the time of the Russian Civil War after her father, General Paul Roudakoff, was fatally wounded in battle; 5 days later her mother died of typhus. Still unaware of her parents' death, and after witnessing her two sisters' deaths from starvation, the young Irina, then 8 years old, made her way over 1,000 kilometers, alone and through many privations to Moscow and the Estonian embassy there, with whom her Estonian uncle Volodya Blonsky had made arrangements. After a year in Moscow, and appeals to the Estonian consul, Irina was aided in a dramatic escape from the Soviet Union, to her aunt Anna Blonsky Lassburg (1882–1940) and her husband Doctor Genrick Lassburg in Tallinn, Estonia. Eventually, after in 1929, traveling through Ellis Island and admitted as a student, of voice studies, she joined her brother who had settled, in 1923, in the United States. Irina came to San Francisco during the Second World War, Among Irina's devotions were ballet and opera. She often entertained friends Rudolf Nureyev, Mikhail Baryshnikov, and Sergei Leiferkus when they were in town. Natalia Makarova and Yuri Possokhov were often guests at Irina's Russian Christmas and Easter parties. From the early 1960s through the late 1980s, Irina studied and prolifically created still life and portrait paintings in oil and water color, excelling in flower compositions. She held studio and feature exhibitions; she competed and won prizes. Her work is in holdings throughout the San Francisco Bay area, Europe and Russia. In 1965 she undertook private study with two prominent Russian painters, including Serge Ivanoff; she executed a portrait of her two masters. She cherished her portrait as executed by Serge Ivanoff.
