Abstracted landscape by California artist Noel Howard (American, 20th Century). Layers of watercolor create a dreamlike landscape, as if the scene is just slightly out of focus. There are shapes and forms that seem to represent fields, trees, and the sky, but without excessive detail.
Unsigned, purchased with a collection from the artist.
Presented in a new cream mat with foam-core backing.

Noel Howard studied Fine Art at Scripps College in Claremont, California, and continued her education at UC Berkeley, where she received a Master’s degree. She painted in Northern California, the Berkshires, Switzerland, France and Italy.
