About the Item

Oscar Regan Coast was an American landscape painter. This artist was trained and studied in both Paris and Rome. After his studies, he moved back to the United States and spent a majority of his career painting the landscapes of New York, most commonly New York City. This oil painting in particular, features the New York City horizon and includes the city lit up at sunset with the Statue of Liberty in the distance. This small, yet greatly detailed piece is in excellent condition and comes with frame. This work is signed "Coast" in the bottom left, much like many of his other pieces.
