About the Item
This painting is part of the “Sailboats” series.
This series was created with the idea of maintaining the same setting, composition and perspective, but each painting conveys an unlimited variety of changing colours, tones, feelings and thoughts depending on the time of day, lighting and weather changes.
Similar techniques have been used by artists throughout the history of painting. Under this influence, I created a similar series that allows me to feel the attractiveness of this approach from within.
The painting “Sailboats at nightfall” retains the same setting, composition and perspective, but changes in colours and tones immerse us in the nature of the night and change meanings and feelings. At the same time, in this picture I tried to convey the characteristics of night flowers, which have their own charm and beauty.
The work was painted in a relaxed manner, harmoniously combining the Impasto technique with transparent light layers conveying the haze and ghostliness of the atmosphere.
This artwork is painted with high-quality oil paints on canvas using art brushes and palette knives.
The painting “Sailboats at nightfall” was presented at the my Solo Exhibition “Water in colors, reflections and senses” in Gallery "REM - Atelier Espaço Arte”, Porto (Portugal) / January and February, 2023;
This unique painting is original, hand signed front and back by the artist and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

And how romantic the night landscapes are. The city, illuminated by the lights, in the distance, as if beckons and calls to itself. And we suddenly clearly feel how the artist enthusiastically catches the elusive colors of the night. The cold, dark warm red color of the sky which is enhanced by hundreds of bright highlights on the snow surface attracts snow.
