About the Item

Abstracted cityscape painting on paper in blue and red oil wash of industrial beams and water towers in New York City "Untitled II," painted by Ricardo Mulero in 2018 7.5 x 5 inches, oil wash on paper 16.5 x 13.5 inches in a soft white wood frame with an 8-ply window mat and non-glare glass Excellent condition, ready to hang as is Ricardo Mulero is fascinated with capturing the brilliance of light and the contrast of natural beauty with utilitarian landscapes. Here, Mulero focuses on an abstracted New York cityscape of rooftop water towers and he fragments the industrial urban landscape to highlight bold shapes with contrasting color palettes in blue, black, and red. The piece is in excellent condition and ready to hang. About the Artist: Growing up in Puerto Rico, I observed how people and nature could co-exist in harmony. Today, that principle guides my design and artistic work. My paintings are expressions that draw upon my life experiences, traditions, and surroundings. These unique environments inspire my oil paintings: Puerto Rico, where I grew up, New York City, Fire Island Pines, and Hudson, NY, where I currently reside. I am especially drawn to utilitarian-type structures, and the contrast of the natural and constructed environments. I prepare each panel by hand, using traditional methods, which provide each piece with a distinct surface. Most of my artwork consists of oil paintings, which I create by using the Venetian method of layering colors to impart luminosity and depth. More about the artist: Mulero works as a designer and painter in Hudson, NY. In his exhibition design work, Ricardo has synthesized powerful narratives into relevant immersive experiences for history museums, such as the National September 11 Memorial Museum in New York City and the Field Museum in Chicago. His training in drawing and painting began at a young age under the supervision of Spanish painter, Don Luis Bouzà, in Caguas, Puerto Rico. In the spring of 2014, while teaching interior design at Parsons School of Design, he enrolled in an oil painting class -- which rekindled a new chapter in his painting. Since then, Ricardo has presented his work in solo and group exhibitions in Puerto Rico and New York City, including Peter Madero Gallery, Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center, Ateneo Puertorriqueño, in San Juan, PR, Catskill, NY (at CREATE Council on the Arts), Taller Boricua in New York City, and FIPAP (Fire Island Pines Arts Project) Biennial. Ricardo Mulero continues to benefit from art coaching at Parsons and the New York Academy of Art in his evolution as an artist.

Untitled, Acrylic on Canvas, Blue, Red by Contemporary Indian Artist "In Stock"
By Amit Kalla
Located in Kolkata, West Bengal
Amit Kalla - Untitled - 24 x 24 inches (unframed size) Acrylic on Canvas ** Free Shipment ...... will be delivered in rolled form. Style : Kalla’s work can be represented by his commitment to experimenting with social engagement through the arts. It is here his strength lies. Through his deep connection to a cultural expression of a universal spirituality and passionate sense of humanity Kalla, continuously draws people from all communities into acts of creativity in the belief that through creativity people are empowered and communities move incrementally closer to truth. His poetry and paintings are spiritually intuited. While his poems create a secretive world of words, where silence speaks his paintings are calligraphic and draw on the same silent unknowing of invented texts. His paintings represent moments on the continuum; a slice snatched from his deeper hidden journey. The strength of Kalla’s work is that it represents an Indian artist’s quest for an indigenous tenor rather than a superficial inventory of native motifs, there is nothing about his work which relies on a static Indian Identity. About the Artist & his work : Born : 1980 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Education : 2005 - Masters in Art and Aesthetics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi 2003 - Graduation in Art History, National Museum Institute specializing in ancient Indian art...
