The vibrant blue tones of the sky echo the cool shadows of the foreground and contrast with the warmer Parisian sandstone facades that glimmer in the sun. Unexpected, novel and rare, this Parisian cityscape contains all the quintessential elements of Samir’s effortless style. "This study was painted on the same day as my other painting “A Street in Montmartre”. Indeed, it was even done from the same spot, just of a different vantage point. It captures a warm autumn day in Paris." — Samir recalls.
