For me, it brings memories of carefree afternoons spent on a swing, soaring high into the sky, and watching the most breathtaking sunsets from the hill where the oak stands tall.
This tree is more than just a part of the landscape; it’s a symbol of strength, wisdom, and connection. As a psychologist, I’ve explored the deeper meanings behind the symbols that resonate with us. During one of my trainings, I discovered the oak as a representation of family and heritage. This enduring tree, with its roots deeply intertwined with the earth, reminds me of the bonds that connect generations, anchoring us to our past while offering strength for the future.
About the artist
Tamara Makhotina (pseudonym Rozinskaya) was born in 1961 in Tbilisi, Georgia, and moved to Russia at 12. She became a psychotherapist after 40, helping women overcome depression. At 54, she turned to painting to support a colleague's project and found it helped her recover emotionally during health challenges.
