A boat crosses a river to where a family are fishing in the foreground in this charming late nineteenth-century oil painting. Quaint cottages are visible on the far side of the river and a group of ducks paddle along the bank. Signed and dated to the lower centre. Presented in an ornate gilt frame. On canvas on stretchers.
