About the Item
Every now and then, even we dealers get fooled. This painting was sold to me as by George Gardner Symons. It bears his signature. At some point, the FBI (yes!) showed up at my door to ask me whether I had bought art from the seller. Well, it's a FORGERY. A good painting, with signature expertly forged by someone who got away with it for awhile - and then didn't. At any rate, now it's just a lovely winter scene. I paid a lot for it. My loss, your gain. If you buy this, please do NOT try to pass it off to someone as a Symons, unless you enjoy visits from the FBI. HA!
