Skryabin was born in Russia in 1927. Completed studies at the Academy of Arts in Leningrad (Repin Institute) in mid-1950’s in the studio of Academician Boris Ioganson. Member of the Russian Artists’ Union. Began exhibiting around 1950. Participated in many one-man and group exhibitions throughout his career, including in the “Soviet-Russia” Exhibition in 1960 in Moscow. Posthumous exhibition of his graphic works was held in 2004 in St. Petersburg at a private gallery. December 2004 exhibition in St. Petersburg. Summer 2005, exhibition in Helsinki, Finland. His works are in the following permanent collections: Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow; The Russian Ministry of Culture, Moscow;

Jules Van Biesbroeck was the son of Jules Evariste van Biesbroeck, a painter of Ghent, but was born in Italy, in Portici, near Naples, while his parents were staying there. (In the 19th century many artists made educational trips to Italy). It was a long visit: the child was two years old by the time the family returned to Ghent.[1]
After a short period of practice with his father, van Biesbroeck was enrolled in the Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent. His first painting, "The Shepherd" (French: Le pâtre), was sold at the Triennale in Ghent. In 1888, when he was only 15 years old, he made his debut at the "Salon des Champs-Elysées" in Paris with his monumental work "The Launch of the Argo" (French: Le lancement...

Springtime, 'In the Meadow' by Cornelis Bouter (1888-1966) is a Dutch painting with figures and landscape in an impressionist style with early spring blossoms. Idyllic scene by a river under tree blossoms, this fine oil on canvas painting is very well presented in an original frame. Children play while mother peels apples in a pleasant afternoon setting. Bouter is known for his paintings of mother and children in interiors. This is one of one of his outdoor paintings in lighter color and lovely landscape. His paintings often depict domestic bliss with titles like ‘Contentment’ and ‘Happy Days’. His work has been sold by Christie’s and internationally.
