Artist Gary Leonard offers an exciting blend of expressionist abstraction coming together in one figurative painting. A woman appears in bold hues of yellow, light blue, grey, and violet. Set on a dark background, her features shine prominently from the tip of her nose to the curves of her body. Her hair comes in flowing curls that fade from yellow to sky blue. Swift and bold brushstrokes add dynamic energy that keeps the eyes moving from one portion to the other.

Through composition, color, texture and more, Gary Leonard celebrates beauty. His works start with the subject, but then he lets the work evolve into a more complex composition.
