About the Item

There is a literary saying: "For Ukrainians, the heart is in children, the soul is in songs, and life is in gardens." The "Gardens of Resilience" series embodies the enduring will and determination to create life's oases, even in the darkest times. Each painting in this series is an attempt to cultivate hope, beauty, and reconciliation amidst the leveling of the land by war or the acknowledgment of the reality of life under the influence of the black evil. A garden is always something longer than human life. A garden is perhaps the most universal metaphor for human presence on Earth. Enthralled by the idea of flower cultivation, the artist shifts focus away from darkness, honing in on the radiance of life, which serves as a symbol of willpower and unbreakable spirit. These paintings draw inspiration from the resilience and determination evident in each flower, each tree, surviving and thriving in the most adverse conditions. In each artwork, there is a quest for reconciliation and resolve, despite the challenges faced by people in their struggle against darkness. "Gardens of Resilience" not only reflect the beauty of nature but become embodiments of the inner strength and determination to achieve peace and harmony. This series is distinguished not only by its refined visual artistry but also by its profound philosophical conclusions concerning human existence amidst war and suffering. Its mission is to inspire, reflect the inner strength that allows us to grow and flourish despite any obstacles. This series continues the thematic exploration of the artist, delving into deep philosophical questions of existence and the relationship between humans and the world, inviting the viewer to contemplate their place in this complex yet beautiful world. Eva's Legacy, Figurative original painting by Tetiana Pchelnykova
Located in Zofingen, AG
This painting is an attempt to blend ancient symbols, contemporary understanding of feminine essence, and profound philosophical contemplations inspired by existentialism and phenomenology. The woman, represented in the image of Eve, stands as an eternal symbol of the beginning of life and the mother of all humanity. Symbols on her body, derived from the idols of the Trypillian culture, speak to the age-old connection of our people with nature, land, and spirituality. The Tree of Life with its apples embodies the immortal bond with lineage and ancestors, as well as a reflection on existence, self-awareness in the world, and relations with others. Existentialist and phenomenological philosophies emphasize individual experience and perception of the world, which are perfectly captured in this painting. Each apple represents a memory passed down from generation to generation, a reminder of roots that deeply reach into the history of our people, and contemplations about our place in the universe.
