About the Item
"The Power of Good," a compelling 100x100 cm oil on canvas from the "Self-Perception" series, manifests a profound narrative steeped in the contemporary struggle for moral triumph. The painting depicts a woman, poised with a spear, in the act of vanquishing a bear, a poignant symbol of the fascist forces that have long cast a shadow over her homeland.
Upon the shoulder of the unprotected, vulnerable woman is a sunflower, the emblem of fertility and the enduring spirit of her country. The bear, menacing in form, represents the malevolence that she courageously confronts. This striking visual dichotomy of light with yellow and red tones on one side, and darkness on the other, embodies the global fight against evil.
The owl, a wise sentinel, watches over the scene, illuminating the path of righteousness.
The artist talks about the painting : “Today, the world unites in this battle, and through this artwork, I express my unwavering belief in the victory of good. It is a homage to a flourishing land, to green grass and the warmth of sunlight. This piece is a testament to hope, resilience, and the ultimate triumph of good over evil, reflecting the core themes of my art and the philosophical tenets that underpin my work.”
