A charming oil portrait by the German artist Ludwig Kandler (1856-1927), depicting a jolly tavern drinker, dressed in his very best waistcoat and neckerchief, enjoying a tankard of ale. Well presented in a silver and gilt effect frame. Signed to the lower right and dated 1924. On canvas on stretchers.
