Over the course of a career lasting half a century, Slim Aarons (1916-2006) portrayed high society, aristocracy, authors, artists, business icons, the celebrated and their milieu. The body is a vessel for the soul. The movement of every muscle – a hand position, an arch in the back, the nape of a neck – reveals the innermost continuum of the spirit. Together, lines and sinew form an emotional narrator. Using contrast, texture, and the language of the human body, this collection exposes the intersection of physical and non-physical, the marriage of tactile and ethereal.

Internationally recognized photographer, Giuliano Bekor, holds a portfolio that includes work from the realms of fashion, beauty, celebrity, advertising, and fine art.
Giuliano’s photography has been featured in top publications around the globe, and his client list includes an endless file of beauty industry leaders, advertising agencies, celebrities, producers, and artists.
With 30 years in the industry, Giuliano has perfected his craft to an exceptional level of expertise. Composed of light, color, space and form, Giuliano brings ideas conceptualized in his own imagination into reality throughout his work.

For Giuliano Bekor, a photograph is an image that comes into being consciously, composed of light, color, space and form. Like a painter, he sketches, refining ideas through pen and pencil well before the shutter clicks. A camera is strictly a means to an end, a way of making a palpable visual record of an idea that gestates in his mind, gains shape by his hand, and resolves through his eye as it peers through the lens.
His subject is the human body, almost always nude. These images delve into the splendor of the body - how it can express the inner meaning of who we are. Limbs, torsos, muscles and bones are exposed as though carved out of a supple, glowing stone that flexes and twists. Many of these photographs feature subjects posed with the eyes obscured, the face covered.
If we look closely, Bekor says, we can see that the body is as much a window into the soul as the eyes. This is a gallery of the soul etched into the forms we assume in the physical world. Through exaggerated contrast between light and dark, smooth and textured, vaporous and tactile, Giuliano deliberately filters the extraneous.
The camera captures the image, but for Bekor each exposure is a transformation - of himself, his subjects, and us. He is digging into uneasy turf, fraught with tension: masculine/feminine, heroic/cowardly, shameless/shameful, eternal/fleeting. The intensity of detail, the fiercely exquisite perfection of the bodies themselves, the unflinching, scrupulous engagement of the lens, negates all pretense of politeness. Confronted, we are summoned to look. So we must. And we do. And we experience the beautiful human forms we inhabit and the silent, eloquent language they speak.

WILD ABOVE series
Like anthropomorphic visions, animals come to life on the canvas of the human form. Light and shadow interact mysteriously, bathing contours of muscle tone. Bold projections of animal skins, tails, beaks and eyes cut through the darkness of each frame in high drama, positioned to articulate the merging of human and animal forms. A fiercely original photographer, Miles Aldridge (*1964, Great Britain) is best known for the technicolor dream-like worlds he creates and the glamorous, beautiful women who inhabit them. Aldridge creates ultra-cinematic images, drawing inspiration from film directors such as David Lynch and Federico Fellini as well as the psychedelic graphic design of his father, Alan Aldridge.
Staged to perfection the stars of Aldridge’s surrealistic stories and technicolour dream-like worlds are glamorous, beautiful women. He captures his subjects in a state of dramatic contemplation, making them more complicated and intriguing than simply beautiful. The women’s immaculate appearance and blank expression leave room for interpretation and, like a mirror for Aldridge’s works at large, hint with a touch of dark humour at the perfected façade of fashion’s glamour and the need for idealised beauty. Moreover, his works are characterized by vivid, fluorescent colours as well as the Hollywood lighting and perfectionist attention to detail.
His works are part of renowned museum collections, such as the National Portrait Gallery in London, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and the International Center of Photography in New York.

"Sunday Service at Rev Felton's" is an original piece by Shawn Theodore made from hand-crafted paper collage and acrylic and archival ink on Epson Hot Press Natural paper on wood panel. Theodore delves into the specific experiences of African American families, capturing a longing for lost photographs, missing heirlooms, and vanished archives. Using a blend of traditional portraiture, found photographs, paint, paper, pencils, and digital manipulation, Theodore creates archetypes representing hypothetical family members, spiritual guardians, and ancestors. These boldly crafted archetypes inhabit an imagined macro-family album, offering a unique perspective on portraiture, connection, and community. Theodore's work aims to deepen spiritual connections and encourage personal introspection. This pieces measures 36”h x 48”w and comes with a gallery-issued Certificate of Authenticity.
