About the Item
Bursting with motion and saturated color, this celebrated Perrier poster from 1979 captures Bernard Villemot at his most exuberant. A whorl of stylized figures—outlined in bold, ribbon-like strokes—spins across the composition, each hand triumphantly raising Perrier’s iconic green bottle. The rhythm of their limbs becomes pure graphic energy, a visual echo of the brand’s sparkling effervescence. The hand-lettered slogan “c’est fou…” (“it’s crazy…”) tilts into the scene like a cheer, sealing the poster’s sense of playful abandon.
Perrier’s collaborations with top illustrators produced some of the most recognizable commercial art of the 20th century, and Villemot was their star. Renowned for distilling form to essentials, he built images from sweeping silhouettes, high-contrast palettes, and perfectly judged negative space. Here, the flat, velvety background pushes the carnival of color forward, while the unmistakable bottle shape—rendered with minimal detail—anchors the brand with effortless clarity.
Printed as a large, vibrant color poster in 1979, Perrier – c’est fou… exemplifies the late golden age of French advertising graphics, when visual wit and elegant reduction ruled the streets. For collectors, it offers the trifecta of desirability: a major international brand, a signature image by one of France’s great poster masters, and a design whose joyous, kinetic spirit feels as fresh now as the day it was pasted to the kiosk.

Bernard Villemot
Villemot, one of the leading graphic designers in France during the post-war period, is regarded as one of France's most talented twentieth-century poster artists. He was the subject of retrospective exhibitions at the Musee des Arts Decoratifs and the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris between 1980 and 2000. Belonging to the movement that moved towards an international graphic style after the Bauhaus and de Stijl, Villemot's advertising clients included Air France, Perrier, Orangina, and Bergasol. His work is characterized by vivid colors, thin outlines, and abstract and organic forms.

1982 vintage poster by Razzia for the Paris Posters exhibition
By Razzia (Gérard Courbouleix–Dénériaz)
Located in PARIS, FR
This striking 1982 vintage poster, designed by Razzia, was created to promote the Paris Posters exhibition at the Musée de l’Affiche et de la Publicité during the summer (Été 82). Featuring a bold and graphic collage-style composition, the artwork embodies the dynamic energy of 1980s design.
Razzia, a renowned French graphic artist, is celebrated for his iconic Art Deco-inspired poster designs with a modern twist. In this piece, he juxtaposes a stylized black-and-white Eiffel Tower, a monochrome portrait of a woman, and an accordion transformed into the Arc de Triomphe, all set against a dramatic black background with vivid color accents.
The use of cutout-style imagery and neon-inspired typography reflects the postmodern aesthetic of the early 1980s, capturing the bold creativity of the era. The vibrant contrast of yellow, red, and blue highlights adds to the poster’s visual impact, making it a standout example of contemporary French graphic design.
A rare and collectible piece, this original Razzia poster...
