About the Item

free shipping standard parcel available to be confirmed while submitting the order artist: Anastasia Aureum paper print limited edition hand signed About the artwork: This portrait masterfully captures the enigmatic essence of human expression through a minimalist yet powerfully evocative composition. The artist utilizes a sparse color palette, blending muted tones with isolated vibrant shades to create a striking contrast that immediately draws the viewer's eye. Central to the piece is the delicate portrayal of a figure, whose head emerges from the subdued background. The figure's dark, dense hair, rendered in rich, blended strokes of charcoal and dark hues, cascades with a natural elegance, while the faint detailing of facial features, particularly the subtly vibrant red lips and the gentle hint of an eye beneath the shadow, adds an air of mystery and depth. The art piece exudes a sense of incomplete yet compelling intimacy, emphasized by the raw texture of the canvas and the seemingly unfinished lines that define the figure's neck and shoulders. This unfinished quality is not a flaw but a profound statement, inviting the viewer to contemplate the ephemeral nature of beauty and identity. The abstract streaks and splashes of color, particularly the turquoise brush strokes juxtaposed against the beige canvas and the yellow diagonal line slicing through the composition, introduce a dynamic energy, suggesting a narrative of introspection and silent turmoil. Overall, this artwork is a captivating study of minimalism and abstraction, skillfully balancing between the seen and the unseen, the defined and the indistinct. It offers an intimate glimpse into the human psyche, leaving an indelible impression of grace interwoven with an enigmatic allure. Art education: 2018 Sorbonne University, Paris,France 2014 – MA Fine Art at the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome; 2012 – Academy of Fine Arts of Rome; Each portrait starts with the eyes and a few rough, black outlines. These define the image, which then gradually emerges naturally. 'It's like walking in the mist, and the image gradually becomes clearer and clearer. The fact that I myself don't know exactly what will happen makes it fascinating. I only see myself as a participant in a creative process. The colours also arise intuitively and are dictated by the state of mind of the person I am portraying. I pay attention to the smallest details and emotional reactions, and try to translate them into an individual portrait,' Aureum says.
