Formato: Mitsugiri (mm. 365x165) Editore: Doi Teiichi Stampatore e incisore: Harada, Yokoi. Splendida prova con ottimi colori. Impressa su carta del Giappone tra il 1933 e il 1945. In perfetto stato di conservazione, con ottimi margini tutt’intorno oltre la linea marginale. Ombreggiatura "bokashi" superbamente eseguita dappertutto. Bibliografia: Kendall H. Biografia Kawase Hasui è stato uno dei più celebri artisti giapponesi del movimento shin-hanga ("nuove stampe"), che fiorì nei primi decenni del XX secolo. Questo movimento mirava a rinnovare la tradizione delle stampe ukiyo-e combinando tecniche classiche con sensibilità moderne e influenze occidentali. Nato a Tokyo nel 1883, Hasui inizialmente studiò pittura tradizionale giapponese (Nihonga) sotto la guida di Kaburagi Kiyokata, che lo incoraggiò poi a dedicarsi alle stampe. Nel 1918 iniziò a collaborare con il famoso editore Shōzaburō Watanabe, pioniere del movimento shin-hanga. Questa collaborazione fu decisiva: sotto la direzione di Watanabe, Hasui creò centinaia di stampe che divennero famose per la loro straordinaria atmosfera e raffinatezza tecnica. Riconoscimenti Nel 1956, un anno prima della sua morte, Kawase Hasui fu designato Tesoro Nazionale Vivente dal governo giapponese, riconoscimento riservato agli artisti considerati fondamentali per la preservazione delle arti tradizionali del Giappone. Le sue opere sono oggi custodite in importanti musei in tutto il mondo, tra cui il Metropolitan Museum of Art di New York e il Museum of Fine Arts di Boston. Le stampe di Hasui continuano a influenzare artisti e ad affascinare collezionisti per la loro capacità di evocare un Giappone nostalgico e senza tempo.
