About the Item
A print from his series titled "Submerged". These prints play with the reflections of light beneath the surface in suburban pools, this time featuring three young girls.
His prints are masterful at capturing a mood, and suggesting a story for the viewer to complete. In a totally different vein, his color etchings play with the effects of light. His prints of swimmers show an uncanny ability to create the shimmering play of light underwater on a summer day.
Werger has works in the collection of the Guanlan Printmaking Base in China, The Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., the Boston Public Library, the Brooklyn Museum, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Trenton Museum in New Jersey and over three hundred corporate and private collections.
