Lithograph on BFK Rives paper, edition of 33, signed and numbered lower right.

One of France’s major 20th Century artists, Dufy, together with Derain, Matisse and Vlaminck, founded the Fauve movement (1904-1907). Dufy also is a major figure in the history of lithography. Dufy’s lithographs of the 1920s share with Matisse’s work of the period a quick-sketch quality primarily achieved by the deft management of the lithographic crayon.
