Individually photographed books and bookshelves. Books on Nantucket gardens, houses, and light houses. Featuring "Moby Dick" by Herman Melville, "Nantucket Wedding" by Nancy Thayer, and "The Rumor" by Elin Hilderbrand.
In his photographic series of "Bookscapes" the assembled libraries only exist in his photographs. From photos of different bookshelves, he reorganizes them into a creative digital composition of a new thematic "Bookscape". The relationship each viewer experiences is almost immediately personal depending on the theme of the particular assembled library and the viewers relationship to that theme. Some examples of "Bookscape" themes are Hollywood, Rock and Roll, Fashion, Architecture, Art, etc.
Max Steven Grossman was born in Barranquilla, Colombia in 1971. He originally studied engineering and graduated from the University of Philadelphia in 1994. Soon after he discovered his passion in life for photography. In 2000, Max Steven graduated from New York University and the International Center of Photography with a Master of Arts specializing in photography. The two diverse studies of engineering and the arts have helped to mold the creative photography of Grossman into a study of reality and imagination.
Max Steven Grossman's photographs have been exhibited around the world including -Beatriz Esguerra art in Bogota, Colombia, -Museum of Modern Art in Cartagena, Colombia, -Museum of Modern Art in Barranquilla, Colombia, -Art Wynwood in Miami. –Art Southampton in Long Island, NY. -ArteBA in Buenos Aires,Argentina - AAF Hong Kong.
He has also exhibited extensively in Fairs and Foundations internationally such as Switzerland, Panama, Hong Kong and Spain to name a few.

Max Steven Grossman
Max Steven Grossman explores in his photography the concept of our modern reality — as well as the objects and places that are tangible and “real” right now but may no longer exist as soon as tomorrow. He is best known for his “Bookscapes” series, which sees large-scale composite images working to visualize the gradual loss of tangible paper books and photographs to a world of virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and the cloud computing and online archives of the digital age.
Born in Barranquilla, Colombia, in 1971, Grossman initially studied engineering at the University of Philadelphia, graduating in 1994. Soon after graduation, he developed a passion for photography and attended New York University and the International Center of Photography, completing his MFA in 2000.
Grossman’s unique approach to his still-life and color photography consists of composing large-scale works based on a compilation of images. For instance, for his “Bookscapes” series, he creates “surface-only libraries” featuring photos of different bookshelves, which he reorganizes around a specific theme. Composite shelves are formed around subjects like fashion, sports, architecture, business, film, and rock and roll, such as his Rock BL4 and Rock BWH.
Grossman’s photographs have been exhibited around the world, including at the Museum of Modern Art in Cartagena, Beatriz Esguerra Art in Bogota, the Museum of Modern Art in Barranquilla, Art Wynwood in Miami and more. He has also shown his works at several international art fairs and foundations in Switzerland, Panama, Hong Kong and Spain.

Frank Schott was born in Germany where he spends nights shooting the great bands and musicians of the 80s, while attending the Academy of Arts in Cologne under Professor Arno Jansen.
His early photography work focuses on beauty and fashion, later evolving to include conceptual landscapes and large scale environments, while never losing the eye for details.
In 1998 Frank moves to California. He draws inspiration from the epic landscapes and distinct architecture of the American West as much as from his travels abroad.
