About the Item
Patty deGrandpre’s “Broken Television 12” is a unique abstract 4 x 7 inch inkjet print on 11 x 14 inch rag paper in delineated hues of blue with a pop of red that incorporates a picture taken of a broken television screen. The vibrant colors and tones of this delicate abstract print emerge in the center of an ivory background and is from her “Broken Television” series. Patty deGrandpre’s small contemporary works have a powerful effect as the viewer is compelled to look closer at the layers and hues. Each unique image is inkjet printed only once, on Red River Aurora Natural rag paper, and is signed and dated bottom right. This print will ship flat in a protective sleeve ready for the frame of your choice. This dynamic print would make a lovely addition to any contemporary collection.
Patty deGrandpre embraces technology and enjoys using scanned and digital imagery in combination with traditional printmaking techniques. She prints on smooth surfaces such as photo paper and drafting film. The ink sits on top of the media creating greater contrast.

Patty deGrandpre
Patty deGrandpre is a New Mexico based artist. She received her BFA in Visual Design at Southeastern Massachusetts University in 1987. Her studio is in her home in Lamy, New Mexico. She has participated in many shows, both juried and invitational, at local, regional and national levels. In addition to three solo exhibitions, she has received accolades and awards over the years in both Fine Art and Printmaking.
