About the Item
This very interesting abstract bronze sculpture, it is one of a kind artwork, created in 1979 by the Italian artist Graziano Pompili,
The title "Paesaggio con ombra", is translated in "Landscape with shadow"
This bronze sculpture can be useful as paperweight. The shadow is the foot of the piece, a very genial vision of the useful art.
The artist Graziano Pompili was born in Fiume. When he was young, his family gone to live in Faenza, an Italian town well known in the past for the traditional art of ceramic. There, he studied at the local School of Art and so become easy for him to use ceramic and clay for his artworks.
Then he went in Tuscany, a country full of Master Sculptors in marble and in bronze. In the 70', there he started his important career as sculptor. Since then, his artworks were present in the permanent collections of modern Art Museum in Italy and all over the world.

He was an American sculptor and artist that established himself in the medium of figurative bronze sculpture with permanent collections in museums around the world.
