Anne Andersson was born in Gothenburg, Sweden, with a great desire to explore Nature and a Passion for Art. She received a degree in science in 1981 from Kjällbergska University in Gothenburg and a degree in Art from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. She now works from her studio in St. Petersburg, Florida as a Sculptor, illustrator and painter. Her work calls to mind the animalia artworks of Henri Maik and Gustavo Novoa.
Anne Andersson's artwork serves as an homage to our planet’s charismatic and rare wild animals. Inspired by the majesty and beauty of exotic wildlife, and motivated by an urge to preserve them, Anne’s astonishingly realistic life-size sculptures capture the experience of seeing these animals up close without exploiting them. Her sculpted work using natural materials and clay, provides a humane alternative to big game trophy hunting and taxidermy.
She combines her talents in painting, tapestry weaving and illustration with an intuitive attention to the smallest detail to truly bring her sculptures to life. She has created lions, tigers, leopards, jaguars, cheetahs, bobcats, lynxes, pumas, elephants, rhinos, bears, water buffalo, bison, moose, wolves, coyotes and more—but she feels closest to the big cats. Halicarnassus was an ancient Greek city in Caria, in Anatolia. It was located in southwest Caria, on an advantageous site on the Gulf of Gökova, which is now in Bodrum, Turkey. The city was famous for the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, ranked as one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Halicarnassus was loyal to the Persians and formed part of the Persian Empire until Alexander the Great captured it at the siege of Halicarnassus in 333 BC. Here, the Kupjack Studios have meticulously researched the era and have gone to painstaking detail to present this miniature version of Alexander's Tent. Based on a scale of one foot equals one inch, each piece of furniture, rug, decoration is fabricated with exacting detail.

Created by San Jose based glass artist, Treg Silkwood, the "Golden Nautilus" is an intricate sculpture of a seashell created entirely out of glass. Using layers of ochre (Gold) and white pigment, Treg masterfully captures the intricate shell details typically found on a nautilus'. This breathtaking piece measures 13"h x 11"w x 5"d and comes with a custom metal stand affixed with a rubber coating to ensure stability of the sculpture.
About the Artist:
Treg Silkwood is a glass artist whose career spans over three decades. He is recognized as a premier California Marine Artist and one of the foremost artists working in glass. Taking inspiration from walks along the California coast, Treg’s artwork explores his fascination with the many species of shells and natural objects he’s collected from his excursions. In response to these elegant forms, Treg creates blown glass sculptures that not only enrich his appreciation for the intricate complexities of the natural world but also form a personal connection to a place which he calls home.
Treg has a BFA in glass from Alfred University and studied abroad at the Academy of Applied Arts in Prague, where he learned Czech mold-making and coldworking techniques. Post graduation, Treg worked as a glass blower recreating Early American Glassware at Greenfield Village, within The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI. He was an artist-in-residence at The Corning Museum of Glass in New York and part of the original crew that created The Corning Musuem of Glass Roadshow. LAURA DE SANTILLANA
After finishing her studies, she moved to New York, where she attended the School of Visual Arts 1975 – 1977 and works with Massimo Vignelli as a graphic designer.
she returned to Italy and began her active collaboration with the Venini & C, where she came in contact with many Italian and foreign artists. During this period she used the techniques of Murano to create refined works with unusual colors, perfecting the “vetro mosaico” technique.
Her glassworks have received many prizes and recognitions, and are held by the most important museums of the world.
She collaborated with Venini between 1976 and 1985, during which she designed a range of articles. 1995 Starts collaboration with Simone Cenedese, which continues to this day.
2001-2002 Begins working in bronze and in wax sculpture at the Fonderia Brustolin, Verona

Late Colonial Sitting Room, Boston MA, 1760 - Miniature Room by Kupjack Studios

A new middle class began to emerge in Colonial America and a migration into urban areas began. Unlike farmhouses, these new homes were elegant two-store homes designed in the new Georgian style, imitating the lifestyle of the upper middle class of England. The interiors consisted of a passageway down the middle of the house with specialized rooms off the sides, such as a library, dining room, sitting room or a primary bedroom. Unlike the multi-purpose space of the farmhouse, each of these rooms served a separate purpose. This new middle class had leisure time to entertain guests. In this sitting room, the Kupjacks have replicated this stately room with upholstered furniture, a working fireplace, decorative ceramics and silver accent pieces. This miniature room is presented in a custom leather bound case with faux books on either end as if it could be placed in a bookshelf. the room can also be installed in a wall.
