Ilona Golovina Jars
Ilona Golovina, originally from Stavropol, Russia (1987), is a Brooklyn-based ceramic artist known for her approach to texture, form, and structure.
Self-taught in ceramics, Ilona’s work is rooted in traditional vessel shapes but pushes boundaries through experimental textures, unique clay combinations, and forms that seem to defy gravity. She often incorporates found materials—like broken glass and metal collected from the streets, creating visually striking effects. This process not only enhances the aesthetic of her work but also reflects her commitment to recycling and repurposing materials.
