An American made, Italian design inspired, four door console cabinet. This vintage buffet from American furniture maker "Baker Furniture" has an Italian inspired design and features an angular demi-style top, whose shape is mimicked in the body beneath, and fitted with four doors. The doors each have recessed panels and open up to reveal a shelf within, and a pair of drawers hidden within the upper middle section (fitted with dividers for organizing), offering plentiful storage. An Italian carved walnut wood buffet credenza from the 18th century. This antique sideboard from Italy features rich walnut wood which has been carved with raised decorative cartouche plaques, in varying designs, about the front face. This piece has a rectangular-shaped top which slightly overhangs the case that is fitted with three small drawers set horizontally above a pair of doors at bottom (which open to a shelf on the inside, maximizing the storage potential of this piece). This chest is presented upon a pair of rail legs at either end with accolade carved skirt, turning to bracket-style front feet, and a single shapely carved foot/brace at front center of skirt that adds just enough lift/space between the case and the floor. The dark, rich wood has a wonderful old patina throughout; a showing of its centuries old age. Note that there have been prior repairs at the side and there is a slight bowing at top. This antique cabinet from Italy has a rectangular-shape, with front corners convexly scalloped inward, giving this piece a lovely shaped. The case houses a pair of smaller sized drawers set horizontally at top, above a pair of recessed panel doors at front. The skirting is heavily molded, and this chest is raised upon carved bracket-style feet which give open arch-shaped designs at the underside. The pair of doors open to reveal storage within, and flank a recessed panel at front which is adorn with a carved garland hanging downward within its center.
