Rare Antique Set of 10 Pharmacy Bottles Apothecary Glass with Gold Leaf
Located in Belfast, Northern Ireland
Title:
Rare antique set of 10 pharmacy bottles apothecary glass with gold leaf
Beautiful set of ten pharmaceutical bottles, circa 1900 originally from a chemists in Northern Ireland. Note the exquisite gold leaf framed labels which make them real collectors items (and add value). These elegant bottles lined pharmacy shelves until the late 1920s. We’ve selected the bottles with the most attractive and desirable titles as well as pretty finish and in a variety of sizes and assorted top designs to compliment each other.
The rounded stoppers are hand blown glass making them more valuable than the others due to it’s finer craftsmanship, the plain chisel top designs are elegant and feel extremely tackle to the touch fitting perfectly with ones thumb, with some finished with superb hand cut edges which are more labor intensive specimens, and almost reminiscent of a perfume bottle.
The shorthand Latin (some ancient Greek) names for these botanical delights gives more detail to be admired.
They are all empty but some have a wonderful slight residue of its past contents lining the inside of the bottle.
Unusual and stunning treasure as a unique feature to accessorise your interior just as fragrance bottles and cosmetic jars would. Works wonderfully as a collection lined up in a stylish bathroom whether traditional or contemporary (see photo of a collection on an antique marble Georgian washstand...

An exquisite rare miniature stoneware vase of bulbous form, with tiny twin handles and a long neck, covered with a flowing strong blue glaze, crystalline in places, on a yellow ground. By the ‘Pierrefonds’ French ceramic studio in Oise, Picardie, north of Paris. It was a pottery established in 1903 by Olivier de Sorra, Count Hallez D’Arros, at Pierrefonds, a village at the foot of the famous majestic Ducs d’Orléans castle. Marked with the customary Pierrefonds company cachet - an impressed heraldic devise consisting of a medieval helmet...

Rare Riessner and Kessel Amphora Ceramic Art Nouveau Pottery Basket
Located in Belfast, Northern Ireland
Rare Riessner and Kessel Amphora Ceramic Art Nouveau Pottery Basket
A charming and unusual piece from the well known ceramic factory Amphora of Riessner & Kessel in Turn-Teplitz. Made in the Austro-Hungarian Empire in the area called Bohemia, now referred to as the Czech Republic. In the form of a basket shape decorated with simulated ‘jewels’ of color. It displays a number of stamps and factory marks: Austria, a circular mark with double headed eagle which states Imperial Amphora and an impressed crown. It has two different Slavic townscapes including city walls and magical rooftops on each facade along with numerous star motifs depicted in different enamel colors. The firm’s most important works were made between 1894 and 1904, they were almost all in the Art Nouveau style with plants, animals, mythical creatures and, as in this case, an uncommon and desirable romantic medieval Bohemian landscape.
A very quant and rare collector’s item or unique home accessory. Would go with many of our vintage and antique one-of-a-kind cushions and pillows. A subpart ornament paired...
