Elegant and simplistic in form and showing extraordinary workmanship with the use of the 'Scavo' technique to replicate to look and feel of ancient Roman archeological glass. This technique was achieved by throwing a mixture of. chemical powders on the hot glass whilst on the melt.

Rare, large Mid-Century Modern vibrant jellybean blue colored / coloured satin Murano glass pencil neck vases by Carlo Moretti (1934-2008), circa 1970.
An absolutely bold yet elegant design with the use of bright, vivid blue combined with the bulbous shape and thin pencil neck finished in a satin matt frosted glass for which Carlo Moretti was famous for. Marked with the original Carlo Moretti sticker on the base.
Extremely rare to find in this 1.5 foot height - the second image shows this vase with the more common size of vase.
