This is one of many conceptual studies for art in public places. As a sculptor I love to draw. Drawing can sometimes be like stone carving. Artist Commentary:
Evening Moon Fruit is a burst of color in the night sky, perhaps the light of another galaxy or interstellar nebula? Existing between constellations and planets, lush with roses and pink apples, this work is inspired by our dreamscapes and fascination with science fiction. Original is comprised of pen, ink, acrylic paint, & antique collage clippings.

The colors in this work reflects a satellite image of the Mezen River in northwest Russia, where the fresh water of the river meets the saltwater of the Arctic Sea. The current of the river so strong that the sediment carried by the river pours out into the sea - not forming the typical land delta around it.
