About the Item

A finely beaded, sequined and embroidered evening coat, attributed to Margaine Lacroix, mid 1920's Paris, in extraordinary condition. The muted silver lamé ground is covered with hand beaded and sequined Asian figures set in landscapes of predominantly blues and turquoises and is lined with silver lame facings on interiors. This superb coat is a period work of art and has an extraordinary amount of handwork and embellishment on practically every surface of garment. Can work well easily belted with a silver lame ribbon. Paris 1920's. Excellent-Extraordinary condition. Museum/Collector quality. Length 45", Waist 40", Sleeve to "V" 24", Sleeve to point 29", Center Back 52". 15" shoulder.
