About the Item

Second half of the 19th century India Punjab Male coat of an Indian dignitary called Choga from the Punjab region (Amristar) end of the 19th century. Very fine Curry yellow pashmina densely embroidered with red silk threads and silver thread. Kimono cut with wide three quarter sleeves. Fully lined with straw yellow cotton chintz. The coat is fastened at the front with two cherry silk passementerie buttons in the shape of a boteh with tapered pompons. Very fine burgundy taffeta piping around the coat with matching silk braids. Some stains to the lining, no other flaws. Very Good condition in colour and preservation. To collect or to wear! Dimensions: Equivalent size 38 France. Height 99 cm (quite short). shoulders 33 cm Sleeves 60 cm Neck 16 cm Chest 95-100 cm Waist 95 cm Hips 136 cm. Amplitude of the bottom 160 cm. Sleeve width 148 cm.
