Vintage (1920's) Mariano Fortuny 'de Medici' pattern fabric. Two 48"x 88"panels sown together to construct a large draping fabric-88"x96". The early Fortuny Selvedge Signature: Mariano Fortuny Depose (as shown). Cotton Satin screened with a Baroque Floral motif inspired by a 17c Italian floral motif in gold metallic on a cream background. This fabric Illustrated (page 263+4) in "FORTUNY, his life and work" by Guillermo de Osma, Skira/Rizzoli publisher.
