About the Item
Rare 13thC Northern Thai Haripunchai terracotta standing Buddha. Extremely hard to find in complete condition. Significant wear, though the expressive face shines brightly and clearly. Very good size at 8.25" tall, Stand adds another 1.25 inches. Recently had a custom base made, which enhances this piece greatly. I've only seen a small handful of related pieces as good as this that were in complete condition in 25+ years of searching. All original- no repairs or damage other than original wear. Inventory 7762.

Large, exquisite walking Ferghana horses with great attention paid to anatomical detail were the choice of the wealthy. The horse was second only in importance to the dragon.
