19th Century Chinese Rose Famille decorated Chrysanthemum motif charger
China, Circa 1850s
A large and unique work with non typical continuous decoration. Of circular form with a wide decorated blue and white and gilt Chrysanthemum border, the center decorated with numerous scattered blue and gilt Prunus flowers, the center with vignette of pink Chrysanthemums and leaves.
The back undecorated with a 7.75-inch diameter rim, marked with two Chinese characters in red.
Condition Report :
Overall very good well cared for antique condition, there are signs of scattered wear primarily only to some of the blue and gilt Prunus flowers. Please refer to photos. Presents beautifully, its a large and unique work with non typical continuous decoration.
