About the Item
Sharing with you this lovely tea set in Blue and white. Very thinly potted porcelain, the light shines trough.
Kangxi period pieces in underglaze blue. With a garden scene of elegant ladies with dogs.
4 sets bear a central mark to the base: the character "壽" (shòu), meaning "longevity", enclosed in double circles. This auspicious symbol, frequently used on scholar’s wares and export porcelain, suggests the piece was made for personal or overseas appreciation.
2 sets bear a 4 character chenghua mark at the base.
Provenance: From the inventory of an old Antique Shop from Amsterdam that stopped operating in the 1980's. Thence by decent in the family.

No hairlines or restorations.
Dishes: Dish 1 and 2 with frit and firing flaw, Dish 3, 4 and 5 perfect, Dish 5 with frit and small chip
Cups: Cup 1 with 2 small chips/frits, Cup 2 Perfect, Cup 3 with small chip to base rim, Cup 4 with small chip to rim, Cup 5 with small bumspot to rim, Cup 6 with firing bubble to rim and firing flaw to base rim
