Antique Chinese Export Porcelain Gravy or Sauce Boat with Phoenixes
About the Item
A fine antique Chinese porcelain gravy or sauce boat.
In a Canton variant with an ear shaped handle, curved body, and a trumpet foot.
The body decorated with a garden scene including a rock outcropping, phoenixes, and chrysanthemum flowers and cherry flowers. The foot embellished with a trellis pattern and the handle and interior decorated with floral devices.

Overall Condition:
It is in overall fear, as-pictured, used estate condition.
Condition Details:
There is a firing flaw and a hairline crack where the bottom of the handle meets the body, small chips and fritting to the spout, and spots of fritting and glaze loss around the circumference of the rim and the tip of the handle. Otherwise, there are some some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
Marks:
There is a collector's note to the base.
