Antique Chongzhen / Shunzhi Period Chinese Porcelain Blue & White TeaPot

About the Item

Sharing with you this fantastic and large pot from the Transitional period. At first hand we thought it was a teapot but possibly this was also used a a wine pot, not sure. The painting quality and the cobalt blue color is truly amazing. The shape is unusual and is mimicking Ming Yixing teapot/winepots. The handle is particulary interesting because it was made upside down, this is seen on some rare Ming Yixing pieces. Painted with flower design. Condition pot with some fritting to spout and handle. handle with circular tension line. Lid with fritting and restored section. Lid was repainted, some paint remaining. Size 20x16CM LengthxHeight Period 17th century
