Antique Japanese Seto Abura-Zara (oil plate)

About the Item

Japanese Abura-zara (oil plate), Seto ceramic plate used to catch oil drippings from lanterns, simple flat, round dish with slightly raised edge, one half covered in an Oribe-style green glaze, with an iron-oxide and green floral design painted in the plain field of the opposing half, minor chips, signs of wear, overall fine condition. 8-1/2” in diameter.
