About the Item
The decadent pear shaped “Yuhuchunping” Chinese porcelain palace vase features a metallic gold botanical pattern. The gold vines and gleaming glaze glitter as light moves across the surface. Look closely into the scalloped top to see a lovely craquelure on the porcelain. No details were spared in ornamenting this piece. This piece is gilded and painted… the outline around the imagery is all shimmering metallic. The painted panels around the base have a variety of Chinese cultural vignettes including dogs, birds and flowers. This is an oversized vase, standing at 30″ tall. It can be used as a floor or table vase. The maker’s mark is present at bottom. The vase dates from the lat 20th Century.
