About the Item
Chinese Yixing Clay or Zisha Clay Teapot, probably 20th Century. This charming decorative teapot is formed of Yixing Clay with a wonderful warm color, the body shaped in the form of overlapping Bok Choy leaves with a bamboo form handle, the top surmounted by a snail form finial. One side incised with inscription, the base marked. This teapot is really lovely, and would make a wonderful addition to a displayed collection of interesting teapots, or on its own as a touch of Wabi-Sabi aesthetic to a genteel space.
