Exceptional Japanese Imari Palace Garniture

AN EXCEPTIONAL JAPANESE IMARI PALACE GARNITURE, CIRCA 1700. Decorated in colours and overglaze gilt with friezes of sacred dragons chasing flaming pearls, the bodies decorated with flowering shrubs, rock work and paling. One cover associated. The baluster vases 27in. (69cm) high x 15in. (38cm) diameter, the beaker vases 21in. (53cm) high x 11in. (28cm) diameter.
