About the Item

A Fine Chinese Cantonese Famille Rose Porcelain Bottle Vase Qing Dynasty, 19th Century A richly decorated porcelain bottle vase with a globular body and tall tapering neck exquisitely hand-painted in the Famille Rose palette. The body is adorned with vivid courtly scenes featuring figures in traditional robes, engaged in domestic and scholarly pursuits within architectural interiors, all set against a backdrop of finely detailed floral scrolls and ornamental panels. The neck is equally ornate, with intricate compositions of birds perched amid blossoming peonies, butterflies, and auspicious fruits, all framed by scrolling tendrils and ruyi-head borders in enamelled greens, pinks, and yellows. The shoulder and foot are bordered with dense bands of lotus blooms and foliage, creating a harmonious visual flow across the vessel. This vase exemplifies the skill and elegance of 19th-century Canton enamel ware, likely intended for export. Its vibrant colours and detailed narrative scenes make it an exceptional example of Qing decorative porcelain. Size: H-34 cm Condition: In good condition commensurate with age. No damage or restoration.
