Exceptionally fine Japanese porcelain blue and turquoise striped Studio Vase by Atsushi Miyanishi. This stunning contemporary bowl is a statement piece all on it's own. With sky blue stripes under a cobalt blue enamel over-glaze and a gently rippling rim, it is both elegant and modern. A prize addition to a collection or a stand out piece for a sleek modern interior. Atsushi Miyanishi (b1954) has exhibited globally and his work is in the collection of the Smithsonian's Arthur M Sackler Gallery. Similar pieces of the artist's work has been sold at auction in the USA for over US$9,000 in the past. Artists signature is on the base of the piece and also on the original wooden box.
