Vintage Turkish Polychrome Hand Painted Ceramic Kutahya Platter Circa 1950's. Hand painted and handcrafted Turkish Kutahya ceramic wall decorative plate with polychrome Ottoman geometric design and Islamic calligraphy writing. This is an intricately, hand painted plate that was made in Turkey. Turkey is famous for its kiln products, such as tiles and pottery, which are glazed and multicolored. It has a beautifully hand painted Moorish designs in burgundy, turquoise, light and dark blue and green with Arabic Coranic verses. An Islamic ceramic plate hand painted with natural minerals by artisan in Kutahya. Great decorative Turkish ceramic Islamic Folk Art. There is a hole to add a string for hanging this piece on the wall. An Islamic ceramic plate in the Iznik style. Signed by artist in the back of the plate: "Made in Turkey Guven cini F.B Kutahya. Size: 12.5" diameter x 1.25" Circa 1950 hand-crafted and hand-painted in Turkey.
