About the Item

A fine pair of antique Chinese export porcelain vases. In the Rose Canton or Famille Rose style. Decorated throughout with numerous cartouches of flowers and birds in a variety of green, blue, purple, pink, and yellow tones on a dark orange 'fish scale' ground. Figural foo dog or dragon handles flank the neck that terminates in a scalloped and gilt trumpet shaped opening decorated with painted flowers. Simply a wonderful pair of stunning Chinese porcelain vases! Date: Early 20th Century Overall Condition: They are in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with no cracks or repairs. Condition Details: There are chips to the undersides of both rims, rubbing to the gilding (especially to the handle high points and one of the rims retains gilding than the other), and minor rubbing to the painted decoration here and there.
