Pair of Imari Jars with Covers Made into Lamps

About the Item

Pair of Arita porcelain jars with covers and insert cup with silkworm cocoon figure. Chrysanthemum, birds, orange blossoms are the predominating painted characters in shades of blue, teal, and orange on white ground with gilding. This type of overall pattern is called "brocaded Imari". The jars sit on a painted base with brass rod to conceal electric cord. The jars are not drilled. Jars: 4.75 W X 5.75 H Lamp 12" to base for light bulb
