About the Item

A Chinese vintage statue of a court lady dressed in a blue kimono and holding a swaddled baby. Tilting her head slightly to the side and wearing a traditional hairstyle, this court lady is dressed in a blue kimono accented with white and yellow flower-reminiscent patterns. Holding a tiny baby in her arms secured by the delicate curve of her back, she presents a serene expression. We have two other statues that would create a perfect vignette. A Large Japanese Porcelain Figure of a Guanyin
Located in New York, NY
Introducing a Magnificent Japanese Porcelain Figure of a Guanyin - A Monumental Expression of Serenity and Grace. Behold this majestic depiction of Guanyin, rendered in porcelain with remarkable skill and artistry. Standing almost waist-height, this monumental statue exudes a sense of tranquility and spiritual presence that captivates the beholder. The figure of Guanyin is beautifully stylized, featuring a high bun adorned with a draped head covering that adds an air of elegance to the composition. Delicate blossoms, meticulously painted by skilled hands, artfully scatter across the fabric in a pleasing pattern, adding an enchanting touch of artistry to the ensemble. The Guanyin figure exudes a sense of serenity with a pleasant and peaceful smile, complemented by gently lowered eyelids and gracefully elongated ear lobes. As you gaze upon the statue, you'll notice a delicate attention to detail, allowing the toes to peek out from under the floor-length blue trimmed gown, that further enhances the intrigue of the figure.
