About the Item

An antique low Ottoman Empire cast metal (copper, tin and bronze) circular tray-table, 19th Century or earlier; base late 19th Century or later. The circular piece can also be used as a This is an exquisite piece of Ottoman art with detailed carving that includes minarets, armed warriors on horseback and fauna and flora designed on a circular piece that literally has centuries of grime, age and the lightest cleaning has uncovered a beautiful silvery patina. The circular tray top centering two equestrian figures in a landscape with Orientalist palace, within rings of calligraphic script interspersed with medallions of animals (birds and deer), with a shaped border. The base is wrought iron. This table has special function: The shelf of the table/wall hanging is deep enough to use a custom glass covering, in case the new owner would like to have the surface cleaned to perfection and keep it so.
