About the Item
An imperial presentation vase in silver worked in kebori and repoussé, depicting some egrets in flight, signed Shoshu sai with Bi seal (Kobayashi Bikyo) and Miyamoto Kinsei brand with Junjin brand. On the neck of the vase is applied the golden monda in the shape of a chrysanthemum, symbol of the imperial family.
Work published in the volume "Selection 2023.

Taisho, c. 1920
The Miyamoto Company of Tokyo was founded in 1890 and became famous for its high-quality silverware. It became a supplier to the Imperial House in 1899 and many valuable pieces were purchased by the company that continues to supply the Imperial Family of Japan today.
