Rare Meiji Japanese Cloisonne Silver Wire White Enamel Vase with Birds and Flowe
About the Item
A rare small Japanese, late Ming dynasty, silver wire white enamel vase. The vase has an amphora shaped body and a fluted neck. The ware is enameled with a polychrome image of birds in blossoming flowers made in the Cloisonne technique on a rare white ground. The neck and the base are covered with enamel scrollwork and foliage patterns made in the same technique. Unmarked. Circa: early 20th century.
